SVA

They will check to see if the taper on the wheel nuts matches the taper on the wheel though.

Just in case.

If you have the standard chromed swivel taperd wheel nuts, they will not even bother to check the nuts. People forget that the SVA testers live eat and breathe cars, they really know their stuff (and VERY wise to bodges, dodges, and mythical pass cons!)

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

We have the proper tapered chrome nuts and we had to remove one at SVA to check that they had the correct taper washer and number of threads engaged.

How many threads should there be engage on wheel nuts? IIRC the recommended is 1.5x the thread dia on normal applications, which would be 15mm on ford hubs.

I have the nuts that came with my wheels, they dont have the swivelling taper bit on though.

See here

Capri Laser wheels on standard Cortina hubs with 60deg swivel taper washers from Rally Design gives 10 turns engagement approx.
