How to knock-off knock-on grease caps?

Stoopid question, but any tips on how to remove the knock-on caps from my Cortina uprights?

Prize them out with a flat bladed screwdriver is easiest.

Drill a 3mm hole (if there isn't already one there) on the top of the dome, and wind in the biggest self tapper you can find. Then you should be able to get mole grips onto the screw head
Better still, if you have a slide hammer, fit the self tapper into the slide hammer and use that.

Knock it sideways working around the cap not hard enough to dent it and it should climb out of the hub.I generally use a 2lb ball pein patent adjuster!
