2.5 probe engine
does anybody know if it will mate up to a type 9 box.

No, as it is a Mazda based engine. Not to say that you could knock up either an adapter plate or a new bellhousing, but it doesn't fit any of
the available bellhousings.
DO NOT PUT ON KNOB OR BOLLOCKS!

The Jaguar X type uses this engine and they have their own gearbox so if you can find one that doesn't require re-mortgaging your house you
could use that.
Morgan use them apparently.

The X type is either front wheel drive or four wheel drive though.
The modern S type is rear wheel drive though, but availability may be a problem.

I believe these are different engines. The Probe engine is a Mazda-based K series engine, while the one in the Jaguars are Ford Duratec-based
engines.

The MX6 used the same engine, but it was never used in a Jag.
