I am sorry that I don't know the answer for your question Mike, but as you already know I have the same engine as you, and mine sailed through (with a bit of finetuning by Mark) using MAC#1's Single CAT system so you should have no trouble at all!

Cheers,
Steve.

Just checking but have you got a copy of the SVA manual? Mighty useful bed-time reading for the weeks before the SVA test....

Mark could be the man to speak to then, its not the first time i've heard of him being a wizard with the blade engine.

Mike

Cheers,
Steve.

you will need to meet
less than 0.2% CO at 3000rpm
less than 200ppm HC at 3000rpm
0.97 to 1.03 lambda at 3000 rpm
and less than 0.3% CO at idle

these are current BET test limits whic h i'm 99.9% sure are the same as SVA

they MAY let it use 0.3%co at 3000 and 0.5% at idle

hope this helps
Rich

Hi Mike

Just to confirm

BET / CAT Test

Fast idle (2500-3000rpm)

CO<=0.3%
HC<=200ppm
Lambda 0.97-1.03

Idle Test (450-1500rpm)
CO<=0.5%

(From Mar '04 SVA manual)

Noise is at 3/4 max power

Mark and Colin at MAC#1 were very helpful when we were trying to get our Blade through.

Have you sent your SVA from off then yet?

We certainly have, gotta get moving now!

Mike

Does the lambda readings affect a carbed engine or is that just injection?

lambda is just a calculation based on chemically correct fuel mixture
so a lambda reading of 1.00 is equal to 14.7 parts air to 1 part fuel . this is where a cat works at its best.
all a lambda senser on an FI engine does is keep the fueling to this level.
you will have to use the mixture screws manually to achieve this level
