diff numbers
hi ive just got a diff the numbers are
(86gg aaa 392)
(4a 1ko1 1344)
anyone have an idea how i could find out what ratio it is or if its an open or lsd

Hi according to my list of numbers an 86gg 4006 aaa 3.92 is alimited slip diff which is 3.92 to 1of a 2.0 doch hope this helps.

would this be any good the 1/4 mile run i think it will with the lsd. but not sure on the gear ratio thanks

depends on engine, gearbox and tune. I would expect it to be fine, all that could go wrong is hitting the limiter in 5th before the quater is up, but
thats not likely unless you have a rather large turbo.

its only an escort rs turbo engine. its runing 210bhp do you think it will suit this engine or is there a better ratio.

im sure there are charts out there to link bhp/tonne figures to rough quater mile times. Id imagine that car would do roughly 10 or 11 seconds and a
final speed of maybe 120 to 130. Hence, make sure you are geared to 130. You need the gear calculator program, a search should find it.
edit make that 12 seconds ish.
