If it's Subaru it's called WRC Blue and is a fantastic colour...i used to have a Subaru in that colour and gold alloys really set it off!!! Any Subaru dealer can tell you paint code or if you want i can find out from someone who ahs one???? even Halfords can make it up!!

To get that colour you will need to wet spray the car!
If you take a sample to any good paint shop they will match and mix the paint no problem.

Looks like a metallic version of that....
You can get glitter to add to gel-coat but it tends to look too metallic (big lumps)- less like a "normal" car, more like a dodgems!!!!

Spraying is the way forward but adds seriously to the build...

do you mean metal flake, that's for buggy’s and would look terrible on a real car.

I got 2 ltrs of red for £50 ready to spray from halfords. More than enough for a 7.

Caterham call it Viper Blue.
Have a buddy who's just about to receive their kit from them.

cheers for that - Viper blue.

I did ring Caterham, but they said it was not possible to tell me as they only charge an extra £100 for the customer to choose a custom paint job, so i coudl be anything - his words not mine.

but thanks for the help guys - Viper Blue....

There's a similar metallic colour by Mazda on some RX8, MX5 called Winning Blue and a fantastic one called I think Strato Blue which I saw on a Mazda 3 saloon and is a really deep glossy metallic blue like the MG Rover Trophy Blue colour.

Not sure what the paint codes are though for the Mazda colours.

Cheers

Angus
