My suggestion would be 195/50 15's as well.

Its what I have fitted to my car, and I think they are a good trade off between looks and performance/weight.

For 195 tyres, usually you run around a 6" rim.

Offset, I am running cortina fronts and sierra rear and using ET35 wheels. Reduces the huge scrub rad on the cortina uprights a bit as well.

another vote for 195/50/15s. When I was building I looked at availability and cost of tyres and found 195/50 to be cheaper and more widely available than other similar sizes.

The other thing to do would be to calculate the speed in each gear and the revs at cruising speeds and see if you want a bigger or smaller tyre to increase / decrease the speeds. You might find that a gear change at 59 MPH would ruin your 0-60 time or something.

My suggestion would be to use 195x55x15 tyres. Slightly higher profile to give the sidewalls a bit more flex.

BTW, good choice on the bodywork

would go 13" or 14" myself!!!

Having now done a coupe of hundred miles in my locost on 14" wheels, I would not want to go any bigger.

13" would have been a better choice but my brakes won't fit!

Right...seems like the smaller the better...lighter...lower center of grav. Of course, i don't think i can get 13's on either, but definitely go 14's.

I'm using 195/65R14 on ET 30 (track rear about 1510 mm)
Front ET 30 and spacer 10 mm to get as near to the cortina ET 19.

I need the height for my bottom :-)
145 mm to lower chassisrail
95 mm to sump

Also my lower balljoint is now aprox. 18 mm lower than the pick-up at the chassis.
More isn't good for my Roll-centre and camber-gain.
