heart rate
Hey I need someones help i'v got a college assesment to do and i need to find out how an exercise bike woulc/could mesure a heart rate but i
can't find any websites so anyone know of a good one with lots of info but that i can understand

I would guess it was by your pulse but i would get in contact with a sports shop and they should be able to tell you. 
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

two ways - chest strap sending out a signal every heart beat (very accurate) or via pressing lightly your finger onto a sesor (very unaccurate).
I've got both integrated into different watches, the strap is very good but takes a little getting used to wearing. The finger one has my heart
rate at 40bpm at rest (its 60). not even tried it when exercising.

I am a competitive road racing cyclist and I use a heart rate monitor consisting of a chest strap and mini computer. Most common way to measure HR
and very accurate and easy.
