TOTAL KIT CAR LIVE

Having effected a temporary repair to my leaking fuel tank It now looks as though I will be at Brands on Saturday in the GTS garage with my car.
I was wondering who was likely to be there.
Come and say hello.

Anybody get some video or snaps of the Yellow Fisher Fury going in the tyre wall after Druids?????
Yes it was me (passenger) best £5 quid i ever spent, now nursing whiplash, unfortunately the driver had to spend 24hrs in hospital as he was sparkout.

Modifications for my build now include head rests on the seats and roll bar padding.

We went in backwards first and my helmet and head went back through the roll bar then luckily wedged briefly, ( i could not pull it out) any further and i may have sustained more serious neck injury. We spun round and went in frontways, the helmet then popped back out.
The driver was unconcious and while moving a little was out of it, i lossened my belts and lent over to switch off the battery switch which in reallity ( right of the steering wheel) was to far away. When i mount mine after SVA it will be front and center, dash or tunnel.
Oh and fuel cutoff sensor, the oil pressure one would be no good if the engine is still running, so inertia one for me please.

Glad to hear you are both OK.

Was it a mechanical failure that caused the driver to stack it?

Just got off the phone to BGH, Clive and Colin the driver is out of hospital and OK, if a little confused still.
The car is repairable and BGH/Cranbrook Kit Cars/Fisher sports cars are looking at getting Colin back on the road ASAP.
I ache a lot and the neck muscles are the worst however any crash you walk away from.

Brands accident investigators were well impressed with the Fury's front end crash absorbtion and the fact that there was no incursion into the passenger areas, i was quite happy with that aswell.

I was in front of your car in an MK. We must have just missed your off. What was the cause ? Or just too much right foot on the exit ?

"just like that !"

Don't you just hate it when that happens?

I've got a few stills of some of the track action.
No pics of the Fury, although I did go and have a nose at it in the pits after it was recovered. didn't have the front to take pictures.
It didn't look too bad.
Hopefully no one got any shots of my "off" in exactly the same place a little earlier!!!
I made contact with the tyre wall backwards!!!
I'll put my hand up to the fact that I had far too heavy a right foot on the exit of druids (despite being warned in the driver briefing)
Fortunately the only thing that was hurt was my ego and pride.
The car suffered a broken track control arm and cracked rear wing.
We changed the complete rack in the pits and the car was out again in the afternoon.
I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow.
