Diff - Gearbox level

Hi Guys

I am currently constructing my engine mounts and need to confirm what the relationship between the diff input height and the gearbox output height, i.e. should they be parallel to the chassis rails or should it slant forwards or backwards.

Thanks in advance

Dave

The diff input and gearbox output should be at different heights so that the UJs in the prop form an angle. The UJs work best with a slight angl - around 5 degrees is good. Usually the gearbox end is higher.

The mounting faces of the gearbox and diff must be parallel so that the angles in the UJs cancel each other out.

Not sure if that answers your question?
