Sevens and A frames
Has any one used an A frame to tow thier Locost ? Wondering if it's a viable alternative
to a trailer.
I know there are legal issues over A frames due to unbraked trailer blah blah, but a BEC
behind a decent sized car should be within limits.
So, has anyone done it ?
If so, did you have some sort of permanent fixing points on the wishbones ?
Also, is there any issues with LSDs when towed long distances similar to autos ?

I would have thought a BEC would cause damage to the gearbox unless you had the engine idling and in neutral?

its not the unbraked trailer thats the problem, they are only legal for recovery,

Towing most rwd cars long distance will cause problems if the prop shafts on.
The oil in the box doesnt circulate properly because the main shaft isnt spinning.

Towing a car on an A-frame is not illegal as long as both vehicles are legal. It is just like a four wheel trailer.
You don't want fixing onto your wishbones. Fix to the chassis near to the wishbones if possible.

anyone experience towing bike engined kitcars with an a-frame for larger distances? Would it be better to let the engine run idle during towing or
would the gears / bearings take suffiient "spalsh" oil anyway?
