Thank feck for side impact bars, my missus and kids were in there, you can see where the bar stopped the other car, the door wasn't going to..

Anyway, I now have a 2l blacktop to go in the locost instead of the 1.8 silvertop that's in there now

Anyone have a cheap tintop (pref diesel) in the Yorkshire area ?

Deceased? Just a wee bruise, ya big Jessy! Didn't even break the window!

New door from a breakers and she'll be right as rain.

Or are the pillars and floor munted? Or was the car worth so little it was cheaper for the insurance company to right it off than fix it? Talk about a throw away society!

But, it shows how much safer cars have got in the last 15 years.

I thought that.

That's how I used to buy them. Get a door from the scrapyard, cut the bent sill out, straighten the floor and pillar if they need it and weld a piece of sill back in. The bit my wife always hated was driving round with a different coloured door and sill for months till I got round to painting it

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

According to Parkers it's worth £500, tops

A-pillar, door, wing and sill are munted, never mind, it's only a car..

I have a Punto hire car ATM, oh joy....

Only a broken door isn't the real reason, you only want that engine!

I hope your fine?

Hacksaw through the A pillar, push it back out with a scissor jack and some 3x2 then weld the cut, the wing will fill.
