Corsa engine light.

My daughter just bought a 1.2 Corsa P reg and the engine light is on. Which bit wants looking at?

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

The engine?

Think you'll need to hook it up to a diagnostic computer to tell you which bit the computer isn't happy about (9 times out of 10 a sensor will be broken)

Do a google search for the trick with shorting two pins on the ODB plug, it will flash a sequence on the dash lights from which you can look up on google what it means, i did this with my old vectra (N plate), saved me £60 that bloody vauxhall wanted for sticking in their computer, turned out to be the cam position sensor was duff.

I'll have a google round, thanks

It can't be anything serious, it's running really sweet and the light's gone out again now so it looks like an intermittent problem.

...put a bike engine in!!!

Usual intermitent code on them is EGR valve sticking. Fuel treatment might clean it up. So common that the GM parts guys know the part number off the top of thier head and know what you want before you finish telling them.

My 02 corsa went in today to have the diagnostics test because it sometimes had a missfire and the engine management light came on!

Cost me £80
