SVA with Quick Release steering hub?

Ha sanyone passed SVA with a QR steering hub?

I'm struggling to find a hub that will be compatible with my paddle shift that isn't quick release - was just wondering whether anyones passed SVA with one, or if there's a way of getting around it (hiding it, locking it off etc.)

Yes, but was warned not to advise others to follow suit. It was a failure point in my first SVA and the testers suggestion was followed, he than reluctantly passed it at the second test.
Mine is a "snap off" fitment and in order to pass 2nd time, I had to permanantly connect the ignition key and steering wheel key, so that I couldnt unlock the steering wheel with the ignition key in the ignition.
I welded the connecting spiral key ring up as my solution.

Mine passed no problem. It even counted toward one of the forms of security.

Sounds like it may vary depending on where you take your SVA!

Anyone had any experience of this sort of thing in Sheffield or Beverley?

Cool - I'll take my chances with one and then at the very worst have a re-test to do (which is fairly likely anyway!)

I had it @ both SVAs (Nottingham and Edmonton). No problems either time....

So what's the best QR hub to use for the sierra column (this opens up a whole load of gear I've never even looked at before!)
