windscreen

If in the sva manual sections 2 (demisting) / 3 (windscreen wipers) are related to a windscreen or aeroscreen, does it mean that one has to be fitted? where in the manual (if at all) does it state this?

You do not need either windscreen or aeroscreen for SVA. Most people (myself included - twice) do not fit anything at SVA and it saves time and if it's not there it can't fail!

Hi Guys,

I’m new to all this so might be being a bit naive. I want to make a hardtop Locost, permanent one, but have been struggling to fin a windscreen I can take of a car to fit what I want.

If I take the car for an SVA with out one, pass and then bung a Perspex one in, this won’t invalidate the SVN Pass and get me in to trouble?

What about MOTs is it like a car you don’t have to have one for the first two years?
