What Happened To Luego?

HI, I am not sure if this is the correct thing to do.

In no way what so ever am I trying to offend or in any way annoy, upset or instigate any negative feeling. If I do I am sorry.

I think it is time to explain what happened to Luego Sports Cars Ltd, I am sure plenty of you would like to know.

Yes I am trying to sell you products from Obp Ltd, I am not going to lie. I am also doing this because I feel it is time and I feel strong enough to do so.

Matt and I worked incredibly hard for 6 years building Luego into the company it became. Through out the whole time we had Luego we gave fantastic service and top quality products.

However due large fixed over heads and constant development of new and existing products. Combined with a massive increase in LSIS manufactures and the Kit Car industry suffering a recession. We could not carry on. I personally lost over thirty thousand pounds my dream and my lively hood. I tried very hard to hang in, but after all my savings and maxing out on personal credit cards I could not manage it. Matt and I are still devastated by this very painful time of our lives.

I did not in any way want any one to get hurt or loose money, but in these circumstances this is inevitable. I can honestly say we did try as hard as we could to full fill any out standing orders before D-Day.

I trust this explains and answers any questions you may have.

As you can see from our web site i have been working very hard to build a good selection of products that will be useful to all of you guys on Locost Builders. We specialise in floor mounted and top mounted pedal boxes.

Thank you for reading this.

Regards
Grant.

Grant,

I doubt you'd remember me, I came up twice to your premises in Ramsey Heights - once to collect a load of fibreglass and again on my bike (Hayabusa in the pouring rain!!!) to collect some front wishbones and steel tube to make my own rears squashed into a tank bag.

As I mentioned in my post elsewhere, I thought you provided great service and product, and were more than willing to answer any of my questions.

Anyway, just to wish you all the best - and hopefully your post above may go someway to appeasing those who lost out.

Are you aiming to get back into the kit business again, or stick with making parts?

ATB

Simon

There is only ONE way to appease those that lost out!!

Hiding behind a Ltd. company is too easy. Are you running Obp the same way?

If you can't afford to buy pencils for the office, you don't take money from 'customers'.

When i first used luego for some parts for my build, i can honestly say i was impressed with the service and quality of parts.

However, having been left out of pocket at the end of luego's former existence, by yourself, for parts that where in your building (so you said) i will not be purchasing anything from OBP. Once bitten twice shy!!!

I do however hope that all goes well for you and that you manage to make a better go of this one!!! Time will tell.

Regards Chris

I have an older Luego frame and body finally getting put together (demo car from international distributor Haler Concepts) - I gotta say the quality of the welds on the chassis and the fiberglass is fantastic. I'm quite happy with mine.
