Cortina Front Hubs

Hi Guys

I am currently rebuilding a pair of Cortina front uprights and hubs. I am fitting new bearings and this is where I need some advise.

I have brought 2 sets of bearings and each set consists of 2 bearings, one large and one small and a oil seal which fits on the inside of the hub, there is no oil seal for the out side, is this correct?

Thanks in advance.

Dave

yes,

should be cap which fits outside, and is normally packed with grease

The outside just has a cap that fits tightly over the nut & split pin

Remember to allow some clearance when you adjust the bearing.
