Potential bike engine conversion?
Cheap and presumably light (no safety features) so could be a good candidate

33bhp from 636cc's! Rubbish.
Might go a bit better with 160bhp from 1000cc's!
Mind you, you'd probably want to upgrade the brakes a bit! And maybes the suspension too?
Cheers

That is unbelievably cheap
Ok 33bhp from 636cc's isn't good, nor is 50 to the gallon, I'd have expected more like 100mpg plus from a vehicle like that, but
nevertheless over here that would make £3995 as the day is long!
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

Agreed. I know labour is ludicrously cheap in India, but even it terms of raw materials it's hard to comprehend how it can be manufactured that
cheaply. It's no beauty, but it's not *that* bad looking either in terms of other micro cars.

That's around 52bhp/litre. I guess the engine will need to be in a soft state of tune in order to last well and to be able to run on crap
fuel.

Very good Mark.
Do you think the original was designed by Eldiss Caravans?
Whilst in China a couple of years back i went to an atomotive engine plant. It was co-owned by a company that was making a car spookily similar in
styling to a Rover 75 (and this was before Rovers public take-over). They were apparently being built for the equivalent of £1,500 at the time. I may
have mis understood them but i did query this and they confirmed the cost. Obviously sales value would be higher but it is scary just how cheap some
of the Asian offerings are.
