MT75 fits zetec, type 9 fits the same Zetec, so cant see a problem with your config.

BTW 2.0L DOHC's aren't a popular engine on here, expensive to maintain, and a heavy lump for not a lot of power, as I found out, and went Zetec.

Done the other way with the Mt75 box on to say a zetec you need a spacer on the thrust bearing to make up the gap left by the super chunky Dohc fly wheel.

Using that logic a standard bearing in a type 9 would be hard up to the clutch with no room for ware ?

^^^^^ good point forgot about that flywheel, better suited to an olympic weight lifting bar...

Yep to go from the Mt75 box to say a zetec But not a T9 to a Dohc.

A maye of mine has coupled the yupe 9 to the DOHC in his modified Dutton Sierra, He had to shave about 10mm off the flywheel but apart from that it was an easy job and it runs fine with it.

here it is Rescued attachment Image002.jpg

the MT75 box is a bit wider than the type 9 and doesn't always fit into locost's. Take some measurements first but if it fits then why not use it, its a good smooth gearbox and stronger than the type 9.

Zetec is really cheap, I doubt you could get a pinto cheaper. I paid £200 for mine delivered and I'm sure now I could have paid less.

With shortned sump that looks pretty good. No one uses the stock ECU and I got my bike carbs for £40, make and manifold and away you go.
