New bits on the way!

I just had to start a new thread to let you guys know about the bits I've ordered 'cos I'm so excited! I spoke to bogg brothers who quoted me £565 for bike carbs and a manifold (along with all other parts required inc. pump etc) but while I was browsing eBay I came across these luvlees..
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=260216547178&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=016
I ended up getting this with a pump, filter and all fixings etc, and a modified sump and pickup for £400! Bloody good value in my opinion if anyone else is looking into these.

They look a lot like the ones GBS (ex RobinHood) were offering.

Discussed here I think:

Ouch! I got my carbs, pump off ebay, made the manifold myself and it was less than £60...

£400 all in with a modified sump and oil pick up doesnt sound too bad for bolt on bits from a trader.

Ref the £250 for the carbs and steel manifold, in theory thats a bit rich. I got Boggs ali manifold and carbs for less. All in my conversion bits were somewhere between 300 and 350 by the time the engine fired up. The problem is its hard to value all of the seperate bits 2nd hand as there arent any std prices. 3 - 400 quid seems to be the norm for a locost conversion so you arent far off and should have less hassle.

Are you getting cables and gasket?

What type of carbs are they?

Hmm that post was pretty interesting reading, I phoned Bogg Brothers who quoted £565 for everything so I guess they may have been trying it on? £312.50 buys me everything including manifold, carbs, rubbers, clips, pump, cable, filter and delivery. It is also re-jetted for the pinto engine. They quoted £100 for the sump and pickup so we called it a round £400. I also said if I'm not happy with the quality it's going straight back!
