Black Top Zetec Sump Baffles
I'm in the process of chopping a blacktop zetec, I'm not too sure what way to baffle it.
Has anyone any pictures of somthing similar?
Or
Any one have any advice on doing this?

I didn't put any baffles in mine. Yet to see if this will be a problem.
My CVH sump wasn't baffled and that was fine.

sump chop
When i did my sump chop, i looked on google under zetec sump. It took some trawling but eventually i found some one who had done one on a Tiger cat.
There are full pictures and a step by step guide to chopping , shortening the oil pick up , and baffling. It isn`t that hard a job to do.

under fitment, there is a picture about halfway down the page.
The first 2 pictures are of the 1/2 series sumps but the third is the 3 series and there is then a link throught to the 3 series sump mod.

From the picture on that website there doesn't seem to be any way for the oil to flow past the baffles.
Shouldn't there be holes in the baffles to allow the oil to level out in the sump when the car is not moving and also when draining the oil.

I just put in a curved plate behind the pickup
3.5 years, and no issues so far...

The baffles are fixed to the windage tray and leave a gap to the sump but there are holes in the baffles as well if you look carefully.
