2L Pinto not pulling at high speeds??
Hi all,
A mate has a Dax rush with a 2L Pinto on twin 40's, just come off the rollers a few hundered miles ago ( sept/nov last year)
When pushing on in 5th gear 85-90mph (private roads obviously) it get up to 90 odd ok. If you back off slightly say down to 75/80 it wont accelerate
properly again, it starts to kinda choke and splutter running a little rough.
Come back down to 50 and it will accelerate all the way thru again.
Any ideas?
Tango orange is an 'IN' colour!!

dirty jets
carbs out of balance
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

I agree, sounds like it's not getting enough fuel. Either the pump isn't up to the job or there is a restriction somewhere e.g. filter or
kinked pipe.

Ive had similar problem before. In line filter wa almost blocked. Some swarfe from drilling tank to fit fuel level sender had found its way down the
lines. Changed sender and all was well again.
Happened most on long inclines at higher engine speeds.
I went through the filters on Halfords shelves to find their largest inline.
