don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Does anyone else's sky box automatically turn off and not turn back on ?
Usually have to wait half an hour.
On our third box now

Mine did use to 'crash' (frozen screen listings) for no apparent reason, then it would switch off. A bit annoying as it then would have to
reload the entire program listings again, but it would take no more than a few of minutes. Seems a lot happier now, as I think it was overheating due
to being on top of the video and dvd players, now sits on it own.

yup, has an annoying habit of doing it whilst recording Dr Who or Battlestar Gallactica, Grrr. Although on the other hand I'm not that bothered
when it does it when recording Holby City or Casualty for the wife, hee hee.
I can turn it back on within a few minutes though.

There's a company that sells little fans that keep Sky box processors nice and cool... (they blank out 'cos they overheat internally).
