tyres??

hi all.

ok got my old car running agian,
2000 r1
cortina 3.44 diff

need some tyres, can not stop it from going side ways from set off,
didnt do it with toyos 888 but to much road dirt gets chucked up ! ( if you know what i mean )
but which?
tried toyo r888 ( great tyre but chuck up too many stones & grit )
got some Yokohama a539's but seem too hard wearing,
whats a good tyre but not any of those?

I'd give the AO48r yokos a go (mediam compund). Similar price to the 888's but apparently have less stiff sidewalls and so a little more suited to lighter sevens. The may also throw up a little more rubbish though if you seem to have that problem

The A032r is another possibility, a bit cheaper and I think the soft compound is a little less sticky than the above so may be a better middle ground for you between the 48s and the 539s

Hope you tried the a539s a while back, they stopped being made a few years back and like most rubber it goes bad pretty quickly....

Just to throw another thought into the mix, but what kind of tyre pressures are you running, and how stiff is your rear suspension.
