biest brake pedal

hi all i seen somewon mentioning about putting rollpins somewere on the pedel setup for the sva test could somewon explain were and what for , a diagram or pic would be good

Bias bar setups have to be locked ie roll p inned to prevent adjustment.

its specified in the SVA manual.

I wound mine up to near maximum front bias, the tester did all the tests then asked me to pin it...

This only applies if you're using a bias bar adjustable setup with two master cylinders. You have to permanently fix the position of the bias bar for SVA - the easiest way usifng rollpin through the adjustment nuts and bias bar.

At Nottingham, when I took my car they were mandatory. I had put a split pin through the nut at one end and put a lock nut on the other end. But to no avail, it has to be roll pins. I’d challenge anybody to remove a split pin and locknut whilst the car is moving!

The saving fact was the tester found a battery drill, I had the drills, and the HVG garage next to the test centre gave me the roll pins.
