sierra column and escort rack

hey all,
just wondered is it possible to use a sierra steering column with a escort steering rack in a MK Indy? only reason i ask is that the quickest racks for a sierra i've been told are 2.8 but there are 2.4's for the escort. are there any issues that might arise from using this combo?
i've seen a sierra column coupling on RD

The Dax MC uses this arrangement, so assume it is ok. Just not sure of the alteration to the lower column.

Can't see any problem then. The mounts for the rack will be different no doubt but show you can alter those.

If your getting a kit id just tell MK what u want to do. Im sure they will know what to do. YOul need different mounting plates on the chassis and the steering shaft will need a different end on. MK will soon sort that for you.
