An heads up on a supplier.

If any of you guys have seen the fibreglass for sale on eBay by " bluebird_engineering " from Spain and are thinking of getting some, then you may like to think twice

Quick turn around and well packed but very poor quality.

The back wings are the worse they are very thin and flimsy. The return edge is probably just one layer of matting and the gel coat is much thinner than paper The gel coat is all chipped of along the edge where there is a gap between the gel coat and the matt and resin. There is also a piece the size of a fifty pence piece in the middle that is the same.

On top of this there is an obvious flat spot on one and grazing as well.

Both rears are also spilt, one in two places.

At best these will need lots of body work, an extra layer of glass and painting.

I have about had it with this project Had up the arse again. I would have liked to have made my own but don’t have the time.

All IMHO.

Oh dear! They don't sound great!

I guess you always take a chance on new suppliers. At least with ebay's new policies you should be able to get your money back on them?

Don't let the bad times get you down, your build looks great. It'll be worth it in the end I'm sure.

They offer a money back guarantee.
I would try it first and see how it goes

I have sent him this message but to be honest I doubt I will get anywhere

"My wings arived today well packed but very poor quality.
The front wings are ok.
The back wings are the awfull, they are very thin and flimsy. The gel coat is all chipped of along the edges where there is a gap between the gel coat and the matt and resin. There is also a piece the size of a fifty pence piece in the middle that is cracked and and lifting where the matt and resin is not stuck to the gel coat.
On top of this there is an obvious flat spot on one and grazing as well.
Both rears are also spilt, one in two places.
I am very upset and feal completly riped of.
What are you going to do about it ? "

er, i think that message is maybe a little agressive.

I think i'd have gone with:

"My wings arived today well packed but i feel they are of poor quality.
The front wings are ok.
However, the back wings are very thin and flimsy.
I am very upset and feel they are not worth the money i have paid to you.
I would like to return these for the money back guarantee you offer

I would have bought stuff from him too, but the shipping to NA would have been... wait for it... 365 GBP for wings. Hmmm. That put me off them.

The Supplier will need to supply a tracking number & copy of Signature to show ebay it arrived.
