1.8L cam shaft

Hi – Car now ready for a test, only the valve stem seals to do. If I was to change the cam do I have stick to the original spec or can I go for example for a 2.0L cam?

Anybody had dealings with Speke test centre, if so good or bad.

Thanks

The 2l zetec cams are the same as the 130ps 1.8 cams. Therefore if you currently have the 105PS cams (most escorts) or the 115PS cams (all Mondeos) this is a good way to go. It should give you around 155bhp on twin weber's.

There are no extra modification needed on the head to fit them. I've now done this on mine

Is it a Pinto? If so all Pinto cams are interchangeable. I'm sure 1800 cam is same spec as 2 litre - 1600 is not.
