R1 5vy airbox, anybody chopped to fit under Indy Bonnet?

Just had a go at fitting the airbox the Indy bonnet (yep the one wiff the bulge) you can turn the thottle bodies round and also then the airbox which sits reasonably, also have to shift round the injectors plugs. Still sits too high to clear the bonnet though. Anybody chopped theirs successfully? thought i'd ask before it goes under the knife! cheers thanks D

I didn't think you could turn the TB's around as they sit in notches on the inlet.
well mine did anyway

i just used the very lower part of the box, which has the rubbers to seal on the TB's then used a pipercross filter with baseplate

Air box

We cut ours in half removed about 1 inch, turned it 180 & had it plastic welded back.

Just fits in our Stuart taylor with a custom made bonnet scoop.

Have a look in photos
