If you're looking for something to watch this weekend, the Welsh Sprint and Hillclimb Championship (and others) are at Llandow on Saturday and Llys y Fran Hillclimb on Sunday.

All the WSAHC venues are here

Entry list for Sunday is here

Hopefully I'll be competing!

Regards

Wyn

Liam - it's a bit of a drive from Oklahoma!!

I made it through the rolling road session today with only a few problems-

One of the hoses to my temporary external rad blew off - loads of water and steam everywhere.
Lots of wheel spin from the standard 185 tyres - smoke everywhere!
Possible clutch slip (see here) which hopefully I can resolve by Saturday!

So, hopefully I'll be at Llandow bright and early on Saturday!

Regards

Wyn

Not a bad weekend!

Llandow was mad with a load of British Championship entries - I was off the class pace but about equal with another guy (who was the Welsh Champion for 4 years in a row in a TVR) in a Jedi he'd only driven a few times. I lost the engine cover on the back straight and apparently it flew through the air before crashing to the ground. It's in one piece but a little bit battle scarred! It was well made so it's survived.

Llys y Fran was mental! The car was sliding everywhere under power and I grounded out on one bump and this threw it sideways towards the Armco (but I caught it just in time!). It tore the undertray a little but easily fixed. I was stunned to get into the top 10 runoff for the first time ever but made a mess of the runs. I'll try and post the video later (but had no sound)

Wyn

Seeing as we're forbidden from publishing any videos from Llys y Fran (why??!!), here's a video of the data I captured!

I'm only showing a few parameters but there's a whole lot more. I haven't showed the two timed runs overlayed but, when I do that and choose the fastest bits from both runs I could have been over 2 seconds quicker!

It also shows that I need to set my throttle linkage up properly!
