Hi
I'm thinking of changing my escort front uprights for new adjustable hubs for the following reasons:
1) I'm already rebuilding the car from the ground up with a lot of chassis mods
2) I'm replacing the original suspension brackets for height adjustable ones in thicker material
3) I'm fabricating new more adjustable wishbones to set the geometry where I want it for my needs
4) I have the option to change the front hubs whilst I'm doing it
5) I'm on hi-spec brakes if that matters
So, collective mind - what are your suggestions for front hubs? I'd sooner buy rather than build right now, and am keen to add lightness.
Thanks
Mark
Have you checked out Siltech?

Basically a billet version of the Rally Design upright.
Alternatively Hispec do Cortina & Sierra alloy uprights

The siltech ones look pretty interesting - I'll give them a call, thanks.
I looked at them at Stoneleigh last year and was very impressed with the quality and Andy was very helpful.
Apart from being more than twice the price what is the functional difference between the Siltech and RD units? I see some extra steering arm mounting
holes but thats about it. The steering arm is aluminium so a little bit lighter as well.
Does anybody have the weights for the siltech unto for comparision?
Ring Martin Keenan. He'll make you what you need - based on your pick-ups.
See Spire GT-3 for results.

Anywhere do Sierra alloy uprights? All the ones from the places you mention are for Cortina.
