cheers!
the tester i had was excellent, he was really fair and let me fix a couple of wee things that needed adjusting. i think it really helps to drive over...

i was talking to him after, and the iva tests going to cost around 500 quid!

I'm betting there will be quite some flurry of completed cars in the next few months.

I'm aiming for Feb finish, shake down drive/track day, SVA early march. Retest on any fails over the 6 months I have on SVA rules!

WELL DONE A1!!

cheers everyone! just back from the dvla, the guy was really helpful and is going to get onto it tomorrow, so i may have my plates by next week!
good luck eddbaz!!

he said itll cost more because theyre trying to level the playing field cause they lose money on sva, cause its 190 quid for a morning, whereas a morning on a truck would get them 500 odd...something along those lines...

oh, and yes, the car was as it is in those photos, just with extended indicators.
i covered up all the nuts and everything, although he didnt seem to check for sharp edges.
one thing id say is stick her up reeally high, mine settled down about 25mm, on the drive over...
