Braking issue
DorsetStrider - 26/7/05 at 07:41 PM

As I have mentioned in previous posts I am using a FWD engine and gearbox dropped straight into the rear to create a mid engined monster (oh if only it was just that simple!).

But a potential problem has occured to me. As I'll be using the front hubs brakes etc at the rear this leaves me in a quandery about the handbrake. Would it be possible to use a suitable hub and disk brakes from the REAR of a car with rear disk brakes for the front and have the handbrake acting on the front wheels?

I know citreon made a car where the handbrake acted on the front wheels but from what I've seen it looks like rear disk brakes have a smaller surface area than front disk brakes. Will this cause a problem?

Any thoughts/suggestions/ other solutions as always gratefully received.
