WTD 225/50r15 tyre (can be completely bald)
yep, as per the title, i'm after a tyre to check clearances and stuff.
I've currently got 265/50r15s that came with a load of the other body parts, they catch the arches on steering, and i suspect this is because
they're so wide. and i've only got 1 choice of tyre in that size
i suspect a 225/50r15 will be a good fit, narrower tread to clear the arches, and will bring the side wall down a little bit to help too.
i'm leaning towards toyo t1r, but don't want to spend the money til i know they're the right ones.
as such, i'm looking for a very cheap one or two, as above, can be completely bald, to fit and check the clearance before i spend money on a
set.
checked ebay, there's a pair of tyres in that size, two different manufactures, so thats no good for the 50 quid they want
i'm driving to essex and back on saturday, so if anyone's on the way i could stop in? or maybe someone could send by courier?
anyone got anything?
I know race trucks use 8.5/23.5-15 Avon tyres, so i emailed avon to ask what this relates to in radial tyres as a starting point, and they said
i'd be best to go to a tyre shop and try some as trial and error(?!)

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I'd suggest visit your local kwikfit or other tyre fitting place. They will be happy to "dispose" of scrap tyres.
Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

As above, any tyre fitter will be glad of shifting them on, most, if not all tyre places charge you for the disposal of old tyres, so by taking one
away they are getting paid for a tyre they don't have to recycle.
