Relay attachment

Is there a requirement for relays to be located within a purpose type enclosure or can they be securely attached to the harness? [Flasher, fan and reverse light relay- out of cores for reverse]

You can get relay sockets with built in brackets also ones that clip together and with built fuse holders. Don't forget you can also standard 4 pin relays that have a fuse holder as part of the relay

Thanks for the info. I was aware of multiple sockets but being a bit of a cheapskate was just going to tie to loom. Have messaged a supplier for a unit concerning the size of relay it can take as the flasher is about 28mm. Will wait and see.
