Striker seat widths

Can anyone measure their Strikers seats to see what maximum width will fit (please bear in mind i am a shorta*se so the seat will be somewhat forward) if area narrows at all

Raw or Sylva. The Sylva version is narrower (and the passenger side is narrower still)

Passenger side is narrower (he's right), on mine a triton would almost fit in drivers side (minor fettle), but didn't have a chance in the passenger side.

Went with the narrow JK Composite seat in the end (this is Phoenix IRS, but the square tube chassis is the same as Striker). The JK Composites seats need the back supported, so if you bring it forward then you'd need to brace them somehow.

Bottom half of the seats in question are 400mm at the widest point .

mine are the striker ones from this page
http://www.jkcomposites.com/7s-page.html

I guess this means the width is 35cm. There isn't much (if any) spare space.

I too had the JK ones in a Raw Striker. They were set well back, the front lip was just in front of the chassis cross member. As Matt says, it is tight there at not much more than 350mm.
The footwell does widen further forward but whether it would extend to 400mm I'm not sure and I can't look cos I ain't got the car anymore!

I had Steve Tillett make some modifications to his standard seat and he now sells it as the B3.5

350mm rings a bell as well.

I extended the pedals on my Phoenix so I could just use the RAW cusions and be as far back as possible.

Current Raw striker (measured from my 2009/10 manufactured chassis) measures:
Driver side - 407mm at rear & 330m at 1st crossmember.
Passenger side 407 at rear & 315mm at 1st crossmember.
575mm between rear chassis bar & first crossmembers.

The decrease in width is fairly even as you move forward, the chassis decreases in width and the tunner gets wider

I have previously posted some interior measurements of my Sylva Striker. They are tiny.

I feel this is one of the only negative things about my striker. 2 of my mates cant even sit comfotably in the passenger seat (seperately!)

I would like a set of high back seats. I have a drivers one and that has had the side cut off to make it fit!!! still strong though due to being well wedged.

Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!
