Space heater

Hi all,

After some opinions, need to heat garage so I can work on car, only small single garage,

What do people use? Looked at electric fan units on bay around £55 or the Clarke little devil gas units at £90

Pro and cons I suppose or any personal experience?

..but they're a lot cheaper to run, as long as you've got decent ventilation to get rid of the condensation.

You could look for a second-hand gas caravan heater, I think some of those are room sealed and have an external flue to go through the wall.

In fact, if you can find somewhere to sell you the jets, you can make any mains gas appliance run on lpg.

For a small single garage get one of those rotating Halogen heaters and move it with you.

.

I would urge caution on using lpg gas heaters in confined areas such as small garages.People have died in caravans from carbon monoxide poisening.
I may be wrong but please check.
Regards Denis.

Where did that go?

I used to put my propane blow heater on for 10 minutes before I went in the shed then switch it off when I went in as it was too hot to work with it on. Warm the air with the propane then use a little halogen to keep your back warm.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Press-ups!

You wouldn't believe how warm you get doing 60 of them!

Cheers,
