no oil presure

right im fitting my mj v3,
and to begin with i had the trigger wheel in the wrong place causing a backfire,it started to run on 3 cyl,i have got it running fine now through the eids4 limp home mode
my guage neadle lifts a little and just stays at 0,i have looked at the wiring and that seems fine
now would that cause any problems with oil presure??

i have a racetec oil presher gauge 0-8 bar,

any ideas why i have lost my oil presure

it'll be nothing to do with MJ, so rule that out. unless you've somehow managed to earth the gauge sender, which is unlikely
any other changes made at all?

You haven't removed the distributor have you? On the pinto it also drives the oil pump!!!

Other than that knocked wire off the pressure sensor (or burnt it out by shorting it while working on the loom)? or if it's capillary you kinked the tube while working on the engine?

Can't think of anything else directly related to working on a MJ installation.

Yes that will work.
Longer term a tidier solution is to chop down the dizzy and mount it using a bearing (some lathe work required).

See the pictures here

or retaining the bush rather than using a bearing see DaveFJ's info here
