HELP! info on timing caterham ss cams and verniers on 1.8 K series

You can see the background to this HERE.

I now have the head sorted and thanks for the help and tuition for lapping the valves in from Adi Thorpe. The engine is a 1.8 K-series. It has 140bhp Caterham Superspec cams that were removed with the vernier pullys still attached so will be set right for the cams.

Ive put the head on set the crank to 90 degrees with all pistons half way down the bores and even level, replaced the cams and sealed and replaced the carrier. So now I need to know how to reposition each cam and the crank ready to fit the belt. Iv'e researched and read on t-tinternet and found lots of articles including DVA power but they all seem complicated and require lift gauges and fabricated brackets. so how do I know where to position each cam using the marks on the verniers (the advance is already set) Do I need to get No 1 to TDC and what marks go where on the verniers.

Keep it simple please as although learning I'm pretty much out of my depth.

Ta in advance

You should have marked the verniers position with respect to each other before removing them. The standard pulleys have dots that have to point toward each other when the crank pulley is lined up with the timing mark, does your verniers not have these? (I don't mean the the vernier adjustment marks!)

If not then you are going to need the cam timing figures and set up the lift at BDC etc.

The cam belt came off whilst driving so the verniers didnt stay in their respective positions as the 16 valves were busy bending themselves. I know the home made mark you mention but there is none present. The most Iv'e managed to do is to reassemble the whole lot somewhere near or at least so the engine will turn without any valves contacting the pistons. It turns over ok by hand and on the key but the battery is on charge so don't know if it will fire up until tomorrow.
