on the granada that uses a similar diff, most petrols had 3.64 or so and the diesel is listed in the ford manual with my donor as being 3.9 or so. to
my mind i would have expected it to be lower, but there ya go.

Ive been looking very closely at sierra diffs so I could choose the right sierra for by build, if you look on the chassis plate second box up on the
left there will be a single letter code relating to the diff
Ratio Code
3.14 M
3.36 A
3.38 U
3.62 V
3.64 3
3.92 D
I have checked a load of sierras, (I get quite a few in work), the diesels have the D diff (cannot speak for 2.3 diesels, wont allow them on site!),
the D diff is also on the 1.8 CVH amongst others.
The diffs are as follows
1.3 Carb 3.77
1.6 Carb 3.62
1.6 Eco 3.38
1.8 4sp 3.62
1.8 5sp 3.92
2.0 man 3.62
2.0 auto 3.38
2.0I man 3.92
2.0I auto 3.62
