Rover V8 carbs to EFI with EDIS

Following on from the earlier thread, this is what I've done to my engine.

1) 4 injector throttle body

I got this from Bill Shurvinton. I don't know if he's still selling things as he's gone very quiet and still owes me four injectors. The original supplier in the US can be found at http://www.auto-nomics.com/cgi-bin/showresults?a=detail&part=12168-001

2) Fuel injectors
After not getting them from Bill, I lucked out and got a set of allegedly Cosworth injectors from eBay for about £16. As far as I can find out, they are rated at about 30lb/hr

3) Manifold
Another eBay find. Offenhauser 360 for £80

4) Surge tank/Swirl pot. I didn't want to change my tank, so I got one of these from http://www2.obp.uk.net/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=32_215&products_id=712&osCsid=4a6e8df523ae393146457adcd4068647

5) Fuel pump & filters
Yet more eBay, pump is some Bosch knock off for circa £25

6) ECU
Megasquirt MS1 from http://www.extraefi.co.uk with the EDIS option. I also got the coolant and inlet temp sensors from Phil so that I wouldn't have to worry about calibration.

7) EDIS-8, coilpacks, trigger wheel, crank sensor
All from http://www.triggerwheels.com

8) Wideband sensor
JAW controller and sensor bought from this very forum http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=122196

That lot is really all bolt together stuff. All the problems were caused by me not paying sufficient attention when wiring things up. I'll post up a random collection of photos as I find them of various bits of the build.

My crank sensor mount. This is sized so that the sensor is horizontal and aligned with the crank. Whilst it is blindingly simple, I'm not convinced by the single bolt so I'll probably weld on a cross piece to the other convenient bolt hole to the left.

Just in the process of finishing my carb to EFI off.

Using a discovery series 2 manifold called the Thor system.

8 lotus Elise injectors – ( new and cheaper than rover ones )

Fuel rails made by Flack monkey of this site.

LC1 oxygen sensor

MS1 extra ecu running Eddis 8 ( as I already have it )

Currently has a single 68mm throttle body BUT planning to change this for 3 smaller ones facing forward.

Due to make its first start up in the next few weeks.
