Zetec thermostat housing gasket?

Gents / Ladies

Is there a gasket between the thermostat housing and head on the silvertop Zetec, or is it just the o-ring?

Cheers

Adrian

Did I not read somewhere that Ford don't just sell the O ring you have to buy the complete housing (or was that just the guy on eBay selling the O rings making it up)

I have a silvertop housing on my blacktop. Just a rubber ring available in packs of 10 from any good rubber ring shop.

The very first Zetec had an alloy housing and it had an ordinary gasket. All the plastic housings just had an O ring.

yes it's a rubber ring, mine was leaking, but I dismantled it, gave it a good clean and re-installed it with some blue gasket silicone stuff and it seems to have worked so far. See my post about 2 weeks ago.

Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.
