Puzzled and needing help.. again!

stripped down and rebuilt the dash. rewired to connect through a couple of multiway connectors.

all is good except... the battery warning light now works in reverse!
ignition on and no warning light, start engine and at idle its a faint light, rev the engine and i get a bright light...

so.. what did i do?

fyi its a little denso alternator(the sort with 2 spade terminals not 3) and I am using a bright 6 'T'

I have the Bright 6 instruction sheet, if that would be any help... I can scan it, or bring it over sometime.

One question - do the oil pressure and low brake fluid lights work OK? (this is a leading question!)

yup - all other lights work fine and i have double checked that all wires tally up, colour coding is the same as the tiger loom.....

To my understanding of your problem,

have you earthed the battery light, as if you have this is wrong

The battery light needs input from the alternator and the other input is an ignition on live

so when the engine is off, the light will be on, yet when charging the light will go out as it has two live sources

I am using a bright 6 'T' module which is self contained and has 8 wires. all other lights work fine so it think it must be wired correctly..........

It's normal that it does that as the denso alternators switch different from other alternators. Denso has 12v on the charge light pin when it is not running so you need to ground the other side of the charge light. Problem is probably that you're having a led cluster with a common 12v like in the acewell dashes. If so, you need to add a transistor in series in order to let the light work correctly.

If it's just a regular bulb, just put a ground wire on instead of a +12v.
