Half Marathon... I did it!
http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=122298
Well I managed to get round!
Was pretty tough, I've never done a proper run before and although I run a fair bit of short distance/high speed stuff to help my Savate (in the
3 months before Euros/Worlds) I've done almost no training recently because of a bad ankle injury.
I only heard about this run 3.5weeks before it happened and only managed 13 runs preparation as managed another couple of ankle injuries whilst
running! Apart from 2x10km runs and a single 15km on Wednesday I'd only done 5k'ers!!!
I'd expected about 1hr55mins and was hoping to get 1hr45mins if I was lucky.
So I'm bloomin pleased to have got 1hr34mins!
Apparently 280th out 15,000 entrants.
Cheers,
James

Thats very fast, although you sound like a serious runner at any lenght. Me and my lady did one at the begining of the year and did it in 2:10. I was
happy with that approx 10kph with out stopping!
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

I train a fair bit for Savate kickboxing:

but I only run very little. Guess Savate makes you fitter than I thought!
