New clutch fitted and engine stalls when gear selected
New Barnet clutch fitted to 2003 R1.
Warmed engine up, started to hear a slight screaching. Blipped clutch and went, engaged first............. engine staled.
Couldnt get out of gear/neutral, so rocked car and eventually got neutral.
Any idea's?
I pressume the clutch needs adjusting?

Sounds like when you put the cover back on, the clutch bar (for want of a better/the correct word) was engaged too far, I had the other extreme when I
did mine and couldn't engage to clutch, loosened to cover and adjusted the bar
But yours sounds like you just need to adjust the clutch cable

Sounds like your new stiffer clutch needs a bit more pull before the clutch plates are separated. Maybe your clutch cable is stretching and/or needs
to be tightened to give more throw at clutch lever.

hi there, sounds like your problem is adjustment only, i had a similar problem with my 5pw when upgrading to a barnett. i,m only just down the road
