i'd say gearing has a lot to do with it in a heavy road car.

Hehe, the good old power vs torque debate.

It has more power because it revs higher so can pull for longer in each gear. So as your torquey 2.4 runs out of steam the Civic is just coming on cam and screams past. It's got a close ratio 6 speed box aswell.

sounds about right.

If I hit 6500 revs the engine hits the rev limiter and (if not in top) changes you up automatically. (semi-automatic paddle system same as in some alfa's)

The sound and feel as you hit about 4500rpm is fantastic though.....

adding a CDA airbox (whatever one of those is) an engine management system remap and new exhaust back box will apparently deliver close to 200 horses but to be honest I don't need it!
