A Resistor works the same either way round, what resistance are you boys using? ST told me 100ohm's but i aint tried it yet.

Put my resistor in line in the grey wire, was getting around 3v back to the ECU which seems right. (John, I did try witout, no luck). You will need to sort the clutch and sidestand switch's, I think sidestand is left open, clutch is joined. Someone did mention maybe the resistor has to go a certain way, but we did get the low voltage out so it seems to be right.

I'll call the Mach1 boys in the morning ....

100ohms is the one. Turns out the ECU wasn't original with the engine, so could well be the wrong one.

I will know in the morning as I've sent it back to Mach1 for them to try in another running ZX9. My ECU was for a ZX9 - right serial number.

May be something as stupid as not having the car in 'proper' not false Neutral.

I'll keep you informed.

BTW, after a visit by Hicost I'm gonna be strengthening up the panhard rod and trailing arms tomorrow and changing the route of the fuel pipe through the rear bulkhead, he spotted a few 'safety issues'!
