The answer is P*ss off. what is the question.

Ok here is the story.

I called a local bike shop (kawasaki specialist in Scunthorpe)

explained i have a kit car with a ZZr1100 engine with starting issues and i need a few bits for it if possible.

And his reply was ... p i s s off and he hung up!

charming.

Go into dealer.
Arrange a test ride on a bike... nice new shiny expensive one.
Organise finance.
Just about to sign the deal......

I think you know the next line.

Go in there, dont tell him what you want them for. Get the price and say..

I guess you'd make a nice proffit on the sale of those..... shame you told me to wee off.

or when he quotes and gets all the parts ordered in, tell him to wee off.

Shocking.

My local Kwak dealer serves me no problem, even when I park up in their car park. In fact, the lad who used to run the dealership, bought an MNR and fitted a ZZR1400 engine to it.

Can't see why they would wan't to tell you to, seems very odd. Surely any profit from any income is good for them and what's more, it's no business of their what you have the engine in, just because it's not a bike. Once it's out of their doors its not theirs anymore!

Got to say I'd be tempted to block their number, then call up and tell them to F off too, just to see their frustration when they try to call back

Now you see when I pooped into my local ford Dealer for some Pinto bits they were very helpful and polite, even came out to look at the car and chew the cud too

That is bad customer relations though, how do they know you don't ride a Kawasaki bike as well as drive a Kawasaki engined car eh? Or have mates with bikes?

LOL

Very good point!

Our main office number is one digit different from the local dial-a-ride service and we do get regular and iratating calls from oldies wanting a lift to town - even so we maintain a (relatively) polite response.

Local Suzuki dealer is very friendly.

Not much use as most of them were at play school when my engine was current, and the others have alzheimers. But friendly.

I'd just right to head office saying you tried to buy some bits for your engine (I wouldn't mention it's in a car) and he told you to p off.

your voice has broken hasn't it, so you don't sound like an 8 year old?

consider yourself lucky, he could have told you to f*** off.

no problems with the one up here either: http://www.edinburgh-kawasaki.co.uk/

I was asking for a couple of carb bits that they don't normaly sell or even order seperatly (so involved 20min searching the parts computer and then a special order) - and all of that was for ZX9R carbs on a Pinto

(they thought I was mad, but were still very helpful)

I always mail order any Kwak bits I need from a dealer in Bristol, very helpful & very efficient & they give a small discount to! I can search out their name & no. if you want it. Any non-genuine bits I can order thro'bike it at good discounts
@ Nick 205 - I think "pooping" in your local dealer is a bit extreme!!!

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

I would be livid.

I would also make EVERYONE aware of who it was and what was said.

I would also go in suited and booted, and ask to speak to the owner / sales manager to tell him the story. Then give the parts guy the finger as you walk out.

Go there tonight and spray "P1SS OFF" on the window with snow spray.

Pee on the door handles and fill the locks with Araldite or silicone.

Walk in and accidentally knock their most expensive bike on the floor, and walk out. Maybe even play domino's with the cheaper ones with the expensive ones at the end.

I would be really upset if i had that response, and would start a hate campaign against them.

Kindest Regards,
Richard.
