scrapping cars

Are scrappies paying for cars at the moment?

My nephew will be scrapping his peugeot 306 next week - yes he bought the one on Saturday - link to other thread if interested

Is he likely to get anything for the old one?

Cheers

mooky

Usually depends if you take it to their place or not, and whether it's complete or not. If you take it there you will usually get something for it, so much a tonne, the rate varies.

Here if you drive it there they give you £25. SFA if they collect it.

my local place is about £80 a tonne. But they usually knock off money if rubber (ie tyres) is no the car as they have to pay to dispose of that.

Places around here are giving £100 per car. They'll collect if it's local.
Is it not worth a punt in the bay?

(its a bit less if we have to collect)
