As with all things there are good and bad, and I have seen pictures of some really really horrible welds on other manufacturers cars.
Perhaps a few years ago things were different, but the two aforementioned, plus Westfield and Caterham are all of similar quality.

we were talking about man hours in fabricating a chassis, all those you mentioned, with the exception of caterham, mig weld there chassis, now as i
have built a chassis in 3 days without jigs etc then how quick can these manufacturers bang them out, the caterham is brazed, there is no way on earth
you could fabricate a chassis by brazing as fast as you could mig...

I didn't no they brazed it, does this make the chassis stronger? some of the tube sizes looked very small, maybe their easier to braze?

brazed joints have some give in them so they don't suffer from fatigue like a welded joint, but saying that a properly welded chassis such as MK
etc should last a lifetime on the road.
